Green Combined Power

Andrew Moore

Andrew was raised with an engineering background. His father Richard founded a successful, specialist laser alignment and machining company called Fine-align ltd. After completing his engineering qualifications at North Lincs college, he was selected to compete professionally as a motorcycle speedway rider. Andrew enjoyed a 10-year career and was selected to ride for England U21 team as well as becoming British U21 champion and appearing on sky sports.

A move into the CHP industry followed as he joined GCP in 2007 where his engineering skills and experience of dealing with fast pace, high pressure industries transferred well. Andrew has been closely mentored by David Fleming over the last 18 years in all areas of CHP and helped to deliver many projects to its long-standing customers as engineering manager. In April 2025 a deal was struck for Andrew to take Green Combined Power forward into the future with David moving to a consultancy role.

David Fleming

David travelled extensively throughout the world for 20 years as a commissioning engineer for power plant. In the early 1990’s he moved to Cummins Power-generation Ltd. His duties included overseeing the installation of power generation equipment globally as well as commissioning. He later moved within Cummins to their large engine facility as Commissioning manager.

David’s last employer was Nedalo UK, a leader in the field of medium sized Combined heat and power generation. With his in-depth knowledge of gas engines, he was selected as a product specialist, commissioning and troubleshooting tri-generation plant in both the UK and Europe.

David Owen

David joined the Royal Navy as an electrical engineering Artificer reaching the rank of Senior NCO. He served aboard several conventionally powered submarines.

David acquired a variety of engineering skills after leaving Military service. He joined Nedalo UK, a well-respected Combined Heat and Power provider and part of TXU when it began its UK operations. During his 11 years at Nedalo, he became Area Manager for the North of England and eventually became responsible for all embedded generation throughout the whole of England.

When TXU withdrew to Texas in 2002 Dave became a co-founder and director of Green Combined Power and acted as trouble-shooter assisting all his managers with technical problems. David lost his battle with cancer on 25th February 2020 which was a great loss to his family, friends, and all at GCP.
